Chocolate Ville is a new restaurant towards the Northeast of Bangkok. The restaurant is actually a small village with a range of different style houses, small lakes, a light tower, windmill and many more.

In this beautiful setting the restaurant serves a range of international and Thai dishes. I visited Chocolate Ville about 2 weeks after opening. By that time many people already had found this restaurant and we actually had to wait in line to get a table. I was rather suppressed about this as the location of the restaurant is not that obvious and for some maybe difficult to find (although it is really easy to get there). This is because it is located on a rather new section of the Kaset-Nawamin Road. This section is not much used and as such not many will have passed the restaurant. in between the beautiful houses, lakes, light tower, etc many tables are set to allow the visitors to enjoy the park landscape. Beautiful.

The menu showed a wide variety of dishes, both international and Thai. We tried a mix of both with spare ribs, german pork knuckle, Thai salads, sausages and soups. I liked all of it and would definitely recommend this to others.

The  service was also good. With such a large place to serve, so many people to feed the service was correct, at the right speed (not too quick or too slow). Also the staff was friendly. Again a positive point which I hope they will keep in the time to come. I really did enjoy the visit and especially since this is so close to my own home I will be back more often.

How to get there

The restaurant is location on a section of Kaset-Nawamin that is rather new. This section is located all the way at the end of Kaset-Nawamin Road beyond the intersection with Nawamin Road. If you drive on Kaset-Nawamin Road and you approach this intersection with Nawamin Road you simply go straight. Now you enter a more quiet section of Kaset-Nawamin Road. You might even think you have gone wrong. But just follow the road for about 2km and you will see the windmill of Chocolate Ville on your left.

Another approach is from the ring road (Kanchanapisek Road). You have to exit at Seri Thai Road and make sure you take the northbound parallel road (starts next to Panasonic). Then follow this parallel road till you see a road that turns left. This is the start of the new section of Kaset-Nawamin Road. Drive this road till you see the windmill on your right. Just before that there is a U-turn. At the U-turn you can cross the street into the parking of Chocolate Ville. Note that there is a parking right next to the road but also in the back.
